1 tablespoon light soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon freshly
ground black pepper
1 slice whole wheat bread
1 pound lean ground beef
1/2
teaspoon ground ginger
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder, lean
1/3 cup thinly sliced
green onions
In a blender chop bread into fine crumbs with on-off pulse. In a bowl, combine
bread crumbs and all remaining ingredients. Mix well to distribute spices and flavors
evenly. Form into balls about 1 inch in diameter.
Arrange on a lightly oiled
baking dish. Bake at 450 F., uncovered, for 15 minutes. Spear with toothpicks and
serve from a hot chafing dish.
