3/4 cup dry red wine
2 tablespoons light soy sauce
1/4 cup Worcestershire
sauce
1/2 cup low calorie Italian salad dressing
1/2 teaspoon unseasoned meat
tenderizer
1 tablespoon crushed thyme
1 tablespoon crushed rosemary
1 onion,
finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 1/2 pounds sirloin
tip steaks, all-visible fat removed cut into 16 cubes
8 new potatoes, 2-inch (cut
into halves)
8 boiler (small onions) skin removed onions
16 large cherry tomatoes
16
whole mushrooms
1 cut into 16 pieces green bell pepper
2 tablespoons low calorie

8 wooded skewers
Mix first nine ingredients and
pour over beef in a glass bowl. Cover and let sit overnight in refrigerator. Drain
and discard marinade. Soak skewers in water at least 30 minutes before using. Parboil
onions 1 1/2 minutes. Remove from heat and place under cold running water. Cut in
half and set aside. Wipe mushrooms with a clean, damp cloth. Set aside. Preheat broiler
or grill. Alternate beef and vegetables, including bell peppers, on skewers. Broil
3 or 4 inches from heat or cook on a charcoal grill for 12 to 15 minutes Turn frequently
during cooking time and baste with salad dressing.
