State - Unclaimed Property Department

. In each state there is a department which is responsible for unclaimed property due to a tax payer. The reason for this unclaimed property is because the state cannot locate the tax payer. This presents the entrepreneur with an opportunity to become what is better known as a Locator. A Locator works independently in trying to find the tax payer who owns this unclaimed property. As a Locator you make you own hours. The state, by law, is required to provide some type of listing for this unclaimed property. I have provided to you the information on where you can find the state office to obtain such a list. The Locator usually earns a negotiated fee. You could work on a flat fee or a percentage of the value of the unclaimed property. All fees are negotiated between the Locator and the tax payer. It is difficult yet exciting trying to predict how much you can earn. On the percentage basis, the higher the value of the unclaimed property the larger you fee will be. That is what makes it exciting. This is an opportunity that requires little or no capital to started just some hard nose detective work will put you on your way.
