16 ounces small fresh white onions
1 tablespoon margarine
1 teaspoon
sugar
Place unskinned onions in a saucepan, add 1 inch of boiling water,
cover and cook until tender, about 20 minutes. Drain and cool. Heat margarine in
skillet. Add onions, sprinkle with sugar and cook slowly, shaking the pan or turning
the onions until they are a light golden brown.
