1 tablespoon olive oil
3 tablespoons finely chopped onions
1 clove
garlic, minced
8 ounces no-salt-added tomato sauce
1/2 teaspoon Italian herb
seasoning, h
4 ounces shredded part skim mozzarella cheese
3 tablespoons grated
Romano cheese
4 whole-wheat English muffins
Preheat broiler.
Heat
oil in small, nonstick saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onion and sauté until translucent.
Add garlic and cook 1 minute more. Stir in tomato sauce and herb seasoning. Remove
from heat and set aside.
In a bowl, combine cheeses and set aside. Toast muffins.
For each serving, spread 2 tablespoons sauce on a
muffin half, top with 1/2 ounce
of the cheese mix and broil until bubbly.
